Bi-metallic compound clear chilled cast iron is characterised by a pearlitic or acicular matrix shell without graphite and large amounts of carbides. Varying the alloy proportions, changes the mechanical properties, the hardness range and the wear resistance level.

Bi-metallic grades are achieved through substitution. These rolls have a wear resistant shell and a low alloy pearlitic matrix core, guaranteeing excellent mechanical properties.
